Winter 2017/18 at Glencoe Mountain Resort

Glasgow to Glencoe Bus

Back in the summer we brought up the idea of starting Scotland’s first Bag a Munro Club. We wanted to be a direct transport link between Scotland’s most populated areas and it’s most beautiful mountains. Now with Winter firmly upon is, we want to continue this idea by transporting people directly to and from the best Ski Slopes in the UK.

We’ve been talking with Glencoe Mountain Resort about sending direct buses from Glasgow, Falkirk and Stirling. They were kind enough to give us a quick update on the start of the 2017/18 winter season.

As I’m writing this we’re in the middle of Storm Caroline with some
strong winds and heavy snowfall; combine that with the arrival of our
TechnoAlpin Snowfactory on 12th December and this will hopefully help us
kick off the 2017/18 snow sports season at Glencoe Mountain Resort and
continue it right through to May.

Glencoe Mountain is iconic, being the 1st Scottish ski resort with
uplift in 1956. From then we’ve progressed a bit to have 8 lifts, 20
runs (for all abilities), a base cafe, an on mountain cafe, micro
lodges, equipment hire, snow sports school for lessons and free sledging in the winter! There is literally something for everyone whether you’re a bit of an adrenaline junkie or just happy to enjoy the stunning views provided by our break taking scenery.

We want as many people to come and enjoy this beautiful part of the
country which is why we jumped at the idea to join up with
and provide a package of more accessible transport and uplift tickets at
a discounted rate (If we get 30+ people on the bus each person will receive £10 off their full day lift pass) .

Now there’s no excuse to come for a visit, dust off your skis/boards or
give that winter sport you’ve always wanted to do a shot!

Keep an eye on our website or social media for news on dates and times for our buses to Glencoe. We are aiming to trial it early next year (possibly valentines day weekend) with a view of making it consistent in the most popular time of year, when the weather and quality of the snow is more predictable.if you have any questions or want to request a bus to any other ski resort, get in touch by emailing or message us on facebook.
